Zoom Quiz Night

The view from Tammy's laptop - smile everyone!

On Sunday evening we hovered over our phones & laptops and had our first ever Zoom gathering. We caught up & had a great evening of trivia.

We have been apart for a long time. Our last service was on March 15th and we have not gathered as a congregation since. Some families will have seen each other and neighbours are waving at each other from window and porches, but it has been a long time since we have seen each other's faces and heard each other's voices. And so it was great to be able to do both on Sunday evening. The turnout was great and even intergenerational! That always makes us old folks feel young-ish and cool-ish. So thanks to everyone under 25 who showed up!

Thanks to Tammy Rempel's creativity and enthusiasm, we not only got to see each other and catch up a bit, we also had a great time putting our competitive hats on and challenge one another to a trivia contest. We had breakout rooms of 4-6 people and were challenged on topics of history, geography, sports, and culture. There was even some math! Some of us knew more than others; some of us were more creative in our responses than others; some of us did more laughing than guessing. And in the end one team squeaked out a win and earned the coveted prize of a DQ gift card. It actually probably wasn't as close as all that, but it certainly was a lot of fun.

Thanks to everyone who participated! It was good to see you all.
